How are Custom fees, duties and taxes calculated?Updated a month ago

Customs uses the following information found on the Commercial Invoice to calculate the duties, taxes and fees that will be applied. Every country has it owns regulations concerning imported goods.  These are generally the guidelines involved:

• Harmonized System codes (classification codes) for each commodity

• The country of manufacture

• Total cost of the goods (commodities)

• Other associated freight charges
