Do essential oils expire?

Pure essential oils do not go rancid and they don't really have a hard-set expiration date. Essential oils are most potent if used by the expiration date. Over time, however, essential oils can oxidize, deteriorate, and gradually lose their therapeutic value and aromatic quality.  Please keep in mind the essential oils will still be safe to use and effective after the expiration date.
